Fargo, S2 Ep8

Fargo, S2 Ep8

Hi everybody, Mary here.

So, here is the review for the eigth episode in the second season of Fargo ! We're near the end, peeps, so get your seatbelts on ! Without any further ado, here it comes !

Loplop

So, here are the three words I've chosen today :

- The son : So, the butcher and his wife have kidnapped the eldest son in the family whose name is still too difficult to write anyways. They left the house, took his car and are now hiding in a little wooden cabin in the forest. Loads of stuff happen, like the Native guy trying to help him, but in reality, he just kills him (no wonder why after all the bad treatment he recieved from him anyways) and he goes away after the police arrives to arrest the couple who will probably get arrested for all the stuff they've done and stuff like that. Now this sh*tty son is dead once and for all, I can rest in peace, since it's all I really wanted.

- The Native guy : Apparently, racism against Natives was (is it still the case though ?) rampant at the time and this guy dares going to a place where people, apparently, take the place under a commemoration plaque for Natives who've been killed a century before as a public bathroom. Not only it is racist against Natives, but it's also very disrespectful towards this culture and civilisation whose lands have been stolen and their children killed mercilessly. Apart from this, I believe that his reaction was a little bit over-reacted, not against the guy who insulted him (they deserved it anyways), but against the barista who called the police to defend him and was still killed. I think this guy just wants to kill everyone and get in trouble before killing other people, imo. I wouldn't go in a place where I could be insulted, I just ignore the haters, but I guess this guy has another approach to the world "justice".

- The phonecall : The problem is, the black guy, Mike, has recieved a phonecall from the butcher telling him he has the son, alive. Now he's dead and the butcher, arrested. If he ever goes free alive, Mike won't hesitate to kill him because his prey (the son) is dead, and he probably won't help him against the family who started a war against the Kansas City men because of his stupid accident (made by his wife). Also, he'll kill the wife... so they'd rather stay in jail for a while and make themselves forgotten if they want to survive imo.

Overall impression : Great episode packed with loads if action, suspense and guts, and is probably (for now) the most "lively" episode. If by that you understand the one with the most blood.

Okay, that's it for today ! I really hope you enjoyed this post and I'll see you very soon with another one !

And as usual, our last word : KIDNEYS !
