Advent Calendar #2 : Santa's Little Helper, Part 1

There was, living next to a pond,

A small frog that looked at their home

Freeze like every winter.

They knew it was time to go.

They packed their luggage like every year,

Ready to go down south,

For warmer temperatures,

Where they would be able to survive the season.

On their way to a small boat going south,

Led by their friend the beaver,

They noticed a little red bump in the snow

And decided to investigate it.

It was a small reindeer, lost and confused,

And hurt in many places.

"What happened ?", enquired the frog,

Proposing their help by taking out some bandages.

"I was on my way to the training camp

To become one of Santa Claus' reindeers,

but I lost my way, and fell from the sky

Because of exhaustion.

Do you know a place where I can go ?"

The frog pondered the question for a few minutes,

Go south, or help the reindeer ?

After all, the only boat was about to leave soon,

Making another one would take only so long.

In the end, the frog's generosity won,

And they led the reindeer in their house.

Wondering how would the situation go from there

And how they would both make it to their goals.

"By the way, my name's Rudolph, the reindeer said.

What about you ?"

The frog announced themselves as Morgan and smiled.

Little did they know it would be the start of a great adventure.
